Start off the night with a reception in the Atrium and proceed with a seated dinner in the Machine Room. Or would you prefer a seminar in the Machine Room, followed by a reception in the Atrium? All is possible. Our events team helps you lay the puzzle for your event and makes sure everything flows together flawlessly.

The Atrium transforms from an entrance hall into an extension of our beautiful heritage rooms in the blink of an eye. Fully privatised, of course.

De Hoorn takes care of your entire event, from request to invoice. Our young and dynamic team is ready to help you plan and organise everything. With our expertise, all you have to do is enjoy yourself.

Nice to know: the Machine Room, Atrium and Hangar blend together nicely on the ground floor. You can also easily add the Brewing Room for a smaller reception.

Your event in the machine room + hangar + atrium?


The venue may be rented until 4am at the latest.
No, everything in terms of clean-up is included in the price of the venue.
No, we provide all the service needed and supervise the event. We work with our own team that has years of experience in the event industry.
You can certainly do that, bringing everything yourself except candles, firework sticks and confetti.

The heritage rooms (combined with Hangar and Atrium) are equipped with: 

  • Up to 26 round tables of 11p.  Our tables come in two sizes: a maximum of nine and a maximum of 11 people. All round tables and chairs are included in the rental price.  
  • Ten standing tables and 20 stools, to be divided between both halls (of course, you can always hire both in addition). 
  • Beautiful cast-iron buffet tables for catering or your own decoration 

Still need something extra? Be sure to discuss it with our event team. Everything can be hired: decoration, chairs, benches, etc.

Yes it is, our building is fully wheelchair accessible!
Just a two-minute walk away is Parking Vaartkom, with space for up to 1,000 cars. This car park is also the cheapest in Leuven. For those who want to be a real gentle(wo)man, there is the option of providing your own exit tickets for your visitors.
De Hoorn is located at the Vaartkom, 1,5 kilometres from Leuven train station. A brisk walk (15 min.) or bike ride (5 min.) brings you to De Hoorn in no time. The closest bus stop is Engels Plein (De Lijn bus 601), a 5 minute walk from De Hoorn.
We work with our regular caterer Papillot, who offers high quality. So with us, you can enjoy not only our fantastic venue, but also Papillot's culinary delights.
